Dr. Torrence Watkins graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (Truman State University) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Pre-Medicine/Biology. He attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (Salus University) and earned a Doctorate of Optometry with honors in Pediatrics and Ocular Disease. His specialties include specialty contact lenses, Lasik, cataract co-management and pediatrics. Dr Watkins owned and operated Laveen Lasik and Total Eyecare for 17 years, being the first optometry practice in Laveen.

He enjoys being active in the community, He was elected to the Laveen School District Board in 2020. Dr Watkins also served on the Laveen/South Mountain Chamber of Commerce and The Laveen Baseball league’s governing board.

Dr. Watkins has traveled to Central America and Africa to provide eye care for impoverished areas as well as sees the men and women locally at Phoenix Rescue Missions locally.

Dr. Watkins hobbies include mentoring, sporting events, travel and cooking.
