Janice Pierce, O.D., attended the University of North Dakota. Graduating magna cum laude, Dr. Pierce received her BS in biology with a focus on pre-health sciences. Following her undergraduate studies, she received her optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry where she graduated with distinction. Next, Dr. Pierce completed a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics.
Dr. Pierce has been a member of the excellent team of eye care specialists at Swagel Wootton Eye Institute since 2014. She provides comprehensive eye care services to patients, including ocular disease management and contact lenses. Dr. Pierce also provides pre and post-operative co-management and is an active member of both the American Academy of Optometry and the Arizona Optometric Association.
When Dr. Pierce is not treating patients, she enjoys various recreational activities including hiking, cooking, and kayaking.
