Corneal Specialist, Cataract & Refractive Surgeon

Dr. David LitoffDr. Litoff is a Corneal Specialist and surgeon specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Litoff obtained his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in Connecticut. He then moved to New York to complete his Ophthalmology Residency at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Following Residency, Dr. Litoff earned a Fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

Dr. Litoff is an accomplished ophthalmologist with a career that expands almost three decades. Most recently and notably, as the Chief Medical Officer and Lead Cornea and Cataract Surgeon at Icon Eyecare in Colorado. Prior to Icon Eyecare, he worked with Kaiser Permanente as a Corneal Specialist and General Ophthalmologist. At Kaiser Permanente he held numerous leadership positions; including Chief of Ophthalmology and Chief of Surgical Operations.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Litoff to the Swagel Wootton Eye Institute team. With the inclusion of Dr. Litoff, Swagel Wootton will now offer cornea services, including, corneal transplants and pterygium removal. Dr. Litoff’s specialties include: advanced cataract surgery with premium lenses, LASIK, PRK, Clear Lens Exchange (CLE), corneal transplants and pterygium removal.

Dr. Litoff is a Diplomate with the American Board of Ophthalmology and National Board of Medical Examiners. He is also a member of American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and has been published in more than 20 publications.
