Cosmetic Procedures

As we age, our skin…changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. At Swagel Wootton Eye Institute, we offer our patients several facial fillers that can be injected to fill in deep creases or scars, improve facial contours and give body and definition to your lips. These fillers provide a fresh new look without surgery and include:

BOTOX Cosmetic®

BOTOX® is a wrinkle reduction procedure that can reduce or eliminate wrinkles in the face, including forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows and crow’s feet around the eyes. It is safe and fast. You can resume all your activities immediately after treatment.

The number of injections depends on the amount of area being treated. Repeat injections may be recommended every three to four months during the first year to keep the muscles blocked and allow the skin to smooth out. The injection process takes only about 15 minutes and results are evident in three to five days. Plus, there’s minimal recovery or downtime. So you can step into our office for treatment and step right back into your life.

Wrinkles and lines aren’t the only telling signs of aging. Over time, the cheeks can flatten and the skin may begin to sag. This is caused by a natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA XC is designed to add volume beneath the skin’s surface to lift and contour the cheek area. Juvederm adds volume to correct age-related volume loss in the cheeks to help create a more youthful appearance.

Facial Peels

Chemical peels are resurfacing procedures that thoroughly care for your skin, providing cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and hydration using antioxidants, peptides, and Hyaluronic acid. A chemical peel is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that delivers instant results with no discomfort or downtime. The procedure is soothing, moisturizing, non-irritating and immediately effective.

Hereditary factors and the signs of aging can greatly impact the appearance of your eyes, so that what they reflect is not really how you really feel on the inside. Eyelid surgery, called blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both. The goal of blepharoplasty is to diminish the amount of excess or sagging skin, muscle and fat.

If you are bothered by upper eyelids with excess, drooping skin that makes you appear sad or angry, or by eyes that look tired due to puffiness or bags, eyelid surgery may be right for you. Insurance often covers upper eyelid surgery.
